Communication Ministry and Radio Nepal sign MoU for grant release

Kathmandu: A memorandum of understanding has been reached between the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and Radio Nepal to release a grant provided to Radio Nepal by the Ministry under capital for the fiscal year, 2023/24.

Radio Nepal’s Executive Director Buddhi Bahadur KC and the Ministry’s Undersecretary Keshab Raj Subedi signed the MoU amid a function held at the Ministry on Sunday.

According to the MoU, as part of the grant, Rs 1.5 million will go for digital archives, Rs 20 million for the operation of Tarini Prasad Koirala Smriti Sanchar Gram, Rs 20 million for inclusive broadcasting, Rs 20 million for the construction of studio building of Provincial broadcasting office of Radio Nepal in Dang.

Similarly, of the allocated amount, Rs 20 million will go for expanding broadcasting access, Rs 10 million for setting up the broadcast link, and Rs 1.83 million for the conduction of the Radio program ‘Communication and Information Technology’.
