Newly-appointed Executive Chair of Public Service Broadcasting Organization Dr. Bista assumes office

Kathmandu: The newly-appointed Executive Chairperson of the Public Service Broadcasting Organization, Dr. Mahendra Bista, assumed office at Singha Durbar today.

While assuming office, newly appointed Executive Chairperson, Dr. Bista, said that he would always be effortful to protect and promote the glorious history of Radio Nepal and Nepal Television and establish the main goal of public service broadcasting.

Chairperson Dr Bista said that it is necessary to make radio and television broadcasting materials citizen-centric in accordance with the essence of public service broadcasting.

He also urged everyone to fulfill their responsibilities enthusiastically while facing the challenges that will come in the process of transforming into public service broadcasting.

On the occasion, Deputy Executive Director of Radio Nepal, Khagendra Khatri, said that they are ready to work together to make public service broadcasting successful and effective.

Similarly, the Deputy General Manager of Nepal Television, Bishnu Ram Neupane, also stressed on the need for everyone’s cooperation and coordination to make the historical broadcasting organizations a true public broadcasting Institution.
