Kathmandu: Secretary at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and Chairperson of Radio Nepal’s Board of Directors Ramkrishna Subedi has urged all the concerned sides to come together for the effective implementation of the laws related to the rights of working journalists.
Inaugurating the eighth convention of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Radio Nepal Chapter today, Secretary Subedi said the single effort of the government was not enough to implement the acts and laws to ensure working journalists’ rights.
On the occasion, Radio Nepal’s Executive Director Buddhi Bahadur KC said Radio Nepal has been moving forward making radio’s contents inclusive as per the meaning of the public service broadcasting.
Executive Director KC added that the management of Radio Nepal was acting according to acts, rules, and directories.
Likewise, Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Radio Nepal Chapter Chairperson Bipramani Acharya, Vice Chairperson Benju Subedi, National Employees’ Organization, Radio Nepal Chairperson Rajesh Shrestha, FNJ Radio Nepal Chapter member Sarita Khanal urged to ensure social security for the journalists of the Radio Nepal, protecting the rights of the contract-based journalists and employees, and not reducing the services being provided to the employees.
