Kathmandu, March-15-2017 | The United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) is to make formal announcement of pulling back its support for the incumbent government in today’s meeting of the Legislature-Parliament.
Parliamentarian Mahendra Raya Yadav said that the Speaker of the House will be apprised of the same during today’s meeting.
The alliance of Madhesh-centric parties demanding the revision of constitution amending bill registered at the Legislature-Parliament before holding local body’s poll on May 14 this year have decided to pull its support from the incumbent, claiming that the 3-point consensus forged to form the incumbent government was not implemented. Parliamentarian Ram Krishan Yadav urged the government to endorse amendment on constitution amendment bill before holding upcoming election.
Right after the UDMF informed to boycott today’s meeting in the parliament, parliamentarians from Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Federal Samajbadi Party among other disgruntled Madhesh-centric parties walked out of the meeting hall in a gesture of boycott.
