Ilam, May 18th 2016 : CPN (UML) lawmaker and former parliament speaker, Subash Chandra Nembang has said that he will put in his best efforts for the development of the western area of the Ilam District.
Speaking at a prize distribution and felicitation programme organised at the Jana Kalyan Secondary School, Ektappa of Ilam on Tuesday, he said he will take initiatives for the development of the Constituency-2 of the district as it lags behind other areas in terms of development.
Lawmaker Nembang added that he would make efforts from the local to the central level for the development of the area.
“The country spent a good 70 years in framing a people’s constitution and now is the time to work for the economic development. The dispute over the constitution has been resolved peacefully and if there are any outstanding issues regarding the constitution, the parties should resolve them in a peaceful manner through talks,” he said.
Nembang also gave assurances to allocate budget for the construction of a playground at the school. He handed out prizes and certificates to teachers and students and former students of the school on the occasion. School Management Committee chairman Pancha Bahadur Limbu presided over the programme.
